New Thoughts

I think I have decided what I want to do with this space.

Posting a true blog of the quality that I would want to produce would take significant time and effort. These days, I simply don't have that time.

In lieu of that, I have decided to do something I hope people will find useful. I often find myself looking for news aggregators. Drudge is the best example of this. Unfortunately, though, I haven't found many good sources. Despite this, I end up reading 10s of articles across the internet daily on issues ranging from healthcare to policy and politics (international and domestic) to technology to science in addition to a sprinkling of all kinds of things. What I've found is that I end up reading a lot of bad articles, which is only made worse because of my schedule. However, there are at least 5 or 6 daily that are real diamonds in the rough.

With that in mind, what I want to do is regularly post 3-5 links or articles at least every day or two that I have found particularly interesting or thought-provoking. I may or may not include a 1-2 line summary with additional thoughts or alternative perspectives.

So, come back...I hope you'll enjoy it...and, I'm always open for feedback or links/articles you find interesting that you think I should share!

Updated the Website

So, I updated my website...finally!

It has taken me so long to get to it, but whateva...most of it's done now...check out the Features page and lemme know what you think and if there's a better way - which I'm sure there is - for me to organize/display it. :)

On another topic, I'm still amazed at all of the services Google offers - I'm still convinced Wave is going to change the Internet. And, I'm just getting used to Google Chrome, but so far, it is so smooth and clean, I'm not sure why I would ever go back to the stuttering starts and stops of Internet Explorer - heck, my Back button doesn't even work in IE8...you'd think they could get something that basic right, right? ;)

Anyway, I look forward to blogging a little bit now and then. Most of what I expect to post will be about current events or interesting things I learn along life's way that I think are interesting or funny or insightful or whatever. My top priority in doing any of this is to make it absolutely as relevant, timely and concise as possible - we will not be discussing what I had for dinner, I promise.

With that, I'm new to this, so if you are too, there's no need to be bashful in posting. If you're not, please feel free to offer feedback to us who are a little green behind the ears. I'd love to eventually create a fun page that keeps folks checking back every now and then and chiming off on things they find interesting. Don't forget, there is also an RSS feed link at the bottom of the home page if you'd like to keep up on a regular basis.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on upcoming posts...
